Niru Yoga Homestay offers a peaceful yoga and hiking retreat in Nepal at Nagarkot Phedi, Bhaktapur, inside the Kathmandu Valley. Our quiet village location is surrounded by green hills, farmland, forests and nature trails, away from the noise of central Kathmandu and Thamel.
Guests enjoy daily yoga, pranayama, meditation, guided hiking, sound healing, healthy vegetarian meals and warm family homestay care. We are about 19 km from Tribhuvan International Airport and approximately 4 km from Bhaktapur’s Kamalbinayak area.
Begin the day with a 90-minute yoga session including asana, pranayama, mantra, meditation, sound healing and deep relaxation. After breakfast, join a guided village or nature hike through forests, temples, rivers, farmland and peaceful walking trails around Nagarkot Phedi and Bhaktapur.
After lunch, enjoy quiet personal time in the garden or relax at the homestay. The evening includes a gentle 90-minute yoga session with long savasana and sound healing, followed by a healthy vegetarian dinner prepared with seasonal ingredients.

Our daily retreat schedule balances yoga, pranayama, meditation, guided hiking, sound healing, healthy vegetarian meals and quiet personal time. Times may change slightly depending on weather and special activities.
Guests may book an optional early-morning sunrise trip for a small extra fee. A taxi leaves before sunrise for the Nagarkot hill station at about 2,110 metres, then visits Shanti Peace Park before returning to the homestay. In clear weather, guests may see several Himalayan ranges and up to six mountains above 8,000 metres.
During the day, guests may visit Bhaktapur UNESCO World Heritage Site, explore local markets, go shopping or walk freely around the village. When we are available, we can help with directions, transport or personal guidance. In the evening, sauna or steam bath can be arranged on request. A campfire may be offered during cool, dry weather, but not during heavy rain or very hot summer conditions.

Yes. Our retreat is suitable for beginners and experienced guests. Yogi Rajan gives personal guidance and adjusts yoga, pranayama, meditation and hiking activities according to each guest’s comfort and ability.
Most hikes are gentle to moderate village, forest, temple, river or waterfall walks. The usual hiking time is around two to three hours. We can adjust the route and walking speed according to the guest’s fitness, weather and interest.
The retreat price includes accommodation, three vegetarian meals each day, two daily 90-minute yoga sessions, pranayama, meditation, guided hiking, sound healing, Jal Neti guidance, filtered water, herbal tea and warm family homestay care.
Guests can choose a shared room or private room. Retreat rooms have an attached western bathroom with hot and cold shower. We serve three healthy vegetarian meals daily, using seasonal vegetables, herbs and produce from our garden whenever available. Special dietary needs can be requested in advance.
Sunday has a flexible schedule with no regular yoga or hiking timetable. Guests may book an optional sunrise and mountain-view trip, visit Bhaktapur UNESCO World Heritage Site, go shopping, enjoy village walks or relax at the homestay. Sauna, steam bath, cooking activities, sound healing or campfire may also be arranged depending on weather, availability and guest preference.

The 7-night price is USD 378 per person in a shared twin room or USD 756 for a private room for one or two guests. The 10-day/9-night price is USD 459 per person in a shared twin room or USD 918 for a private room for one or two guests. These discounts cannot be combined with another promotion or discount code.
Each guest room contains two beds. When one guest books a private room, the complete room is reserved exclusively and the second bed cannot be offered to another retreat guest. Therefore, the private-room price is USD 120 per night for either one guest or two guests.
