Booking & Reservations
How do I confirm my booking?
A 20% deposit is required to confirm and hold your room. Your booking is not confirmed until we receive the deposit. We will send you the payment details after checking availability for your requested dates. You can read our full Booking Information before confirming your stay.
Is the 20% deposit refundable?
The 20% deposit is non-refundable. If you tell us at least 30 days before your arrival, you can move the deposit to new retreat dates within 12 months, subject to room availability.
How early should I book my retreat?
We recommend booking as early as possible because Niru Yoga Homestay has only a few guest rooms. Early booking is especially helpful for our busier months: March, April, May, September, October and November.
Can I join the retreat as a solo traveller?
Yes. Solo travellers are welcome at Niru Yoga Homestay. You can choose a shared room or request a private room, depending on availability and the retreat package you select.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 1:00 PM, before lunch. Check-out is after breakfast, usually between 10:00 AM and 10:40 AM. Please tell us your expected arrival time in advance so we can prepare for you.
Rooms & Accommodation
What type of rooms are available?
Our guest rooms usually have two single beds. You can choose a shared twin room or request a private room, depending on availability and the retreat package. Because we have only a few rooms, we recommend booking early.
Can I book a private room?
Yes. You can request a private room for one person or two people, subject to availability. A private booking reserves the whole room, including both beds, so the private-room price is higher than the shared-room price.
How many guest rooms does Niru Yoga Homestay have?
We currently have five guest rooms. Our small size creates a quiet, friendly and personal atmosphere, but it also means rooms can fill quickly during the busy retreat seasons.
Is Wi-Fi available at the homestay?
Yes. Wi-Fi is available at Niru Yoga Homestay, including in the guest areas. However, internet speed can occasionally change because of local weather or service conditions.
Can couples or friends stay together in one room?
Yes. Two guests travelling together can stay in the same twin room. Our rooms usually have two separate single beds. Please mention your room preference when you contact us so we can confirm availability.
Meals & Dietary Needs
What kind of food do you serve?
We serve three fresh vegetarian meals each day. Many vegetables, herbs and seasonal ingredients come from our own organic farm. Meals are simple, healthy and prepared at the homestay.
Can you prepare food for special dietary needs?

Are tea and drinking water included?
Yes. Unlimited Ayurvedic herbal tea and filtered drinking water are available during your stay.
Can you prepare vegan meals?
Yes, we can usually prepare vegan meals if you tell us in advance. Please share your dietary needs when you book so we can plan your meals properly.
Are all meals included in the retreat price?
Yes. Retreat packages include three vegetarian meals each day unless the package details say otherwise. Ayurvedic herbal tea and filtered drinking water are also included.

No. Beginners are welcome. The yoga classes can be adjusted to your experience, flexibility and comfort level. Guests who already practise yoga can also join and deepen their daily practice. You can also learn more about our Yoga & Hiking Retreat in Nepal.
How many yoga classes are included each day?
On regular retreat days, we usually offer two guided yoga sessions: one in the morning and one in the evening. Classes may include yoga poses, breathing practice, meditation, mantra, mudra and sound healing. Sunday is our regular rest day, so there are no scheduled yoga classes.
How long are the guided hikes?
Most guided hikes take about 2 to 3 hours. The route and walking time may change depending on the weather, season and group ability. During longer retreats, some local hiking routes may be repeated. There is no scheduled guided hike on Sunday.
Is sound healing included in the retreat?
Yes. Sound healing is included as part of the retreat program. It may be combined with evening yoga, meditation or relaxation sessions. The exact schedule can change slightly depending on the day and group needs.
What is Jal Neti, and is it included?
Jal Neti is a simple nasal cleansing practice using clean salt water. It is included in the morning retreat routine on regular program days, with guidance provided for beginners. Guests should tell the teacher if they have any nasal, ear or medical concerns before practising.
