Join us at Niru Yoga Homestay for an unforgettable yoga and hiking retreat where you can deepen your practice, connect with nature, and nurture your overall well-being. We offer a comprehensive program that includes two yoga classes per day, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the practice. Our session incorporates pranayama breathing, meditation, mantra chanting, and sound healing.  Each day, we also embark on a unique hiking adventure, exploring the breathtaking natural beauty and waterfalls of Nepal. To nourish your body, we provide three delicious organic meals per day. 

Sundays are a special rest day here; while we don’t have yoga or hiking activities, we offer a range of other engaging pursuits to enrich your retreat experience. These activities include immersive cooking lessons, cozy campfire gatherings, exclusive sound healing sessions, and more. As a special treat, on Sunday evenings we have tea by the campfire, rejuvenating sauna bath followed by a 30-40 minute dedicated sound healing session.

To get the most out of your retreat we recommend staying for at least 4 days; however we welcome you for as short or as long as your time allows.

TYPICAL DAILY SCHEDULE

7:30 AM Tea Time

8:00 AM Jala Neti (nasal cleansing).

8:15 AM Yoga class (1.5 hour) with pranayama breathing, meditation, mantra, and mudra). 

10:00 AM Breakfast

11:15 AM Hiking 

1:30 PM Lunch

3:00 PM Sound healing education and practice (2 hours)

5:30 PM Tea Time

6:00 PM Evening Yoga class (a more relaxing class with sound bath).

7:30 PM Dinner

8:00 PM Free time in the evening for relaxation. 

SUNDAY SCHEDULE: Sunday is rest day with no yoga nor hiking, but an opportunity for independent sightseeing trip to UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the evening we have sauna bath, campfire, and an extended sound healing session.

The homestay strives to provide nourishing, clean, and tasty vegetarian food during our yoga and hiking retreat. We source about 75% of our food (depending on the season) directly from our own organic garden. Most of the organic food comes from the homestay’s farm, ensuring freshness and quality.  Guests can also enjoy ripe fruits directly from the homestay’s trees.

During our yoga and hiking retreat we serve three meals a day of freshly cooked Nepali style vegetarian food. The kitchen accommodates any special dietary needs. Guests interested in learning how to prepare the food can assist in the kitchen.

The menu varies daily and typically includes a variety of dishes. If you have special dietary requirements, please communicate them to the organizer when making a reservation. 

SAMPLE MEALS

Ayurvedic herbal teas, coffee, porridge with dates and raisins or coconut, bananas, papaya, or chickpeas. 

Other breakfast offerings may include samosa, pancake, parantha, uppama, and Nepalese breakfast.

Dal (Lentil), Bhat (rice) vegetables (pumpkin, carrot, cauliflower, peas, spinach, mushroom, etc.), Roti (bread). Khichadi (Mix rice with vegetables)
